Couldnt be happier as this old formulation is one of the of my favorite scents ever!I compare it with a batch from 2018 to see if the vintage La Nuit De L'Homme is worth it...Her. Here's my Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'Homme 2011 review. Short answer from me, I've a small bottle of 2016 formulation and a larger bottle of one from early 2014. The earlier batch is sharper and lasts well (6 sprays = all day during work). The latter batch is far softer/more rounded and lasts marginally less. It doesn't have the atrocious longevity that some seem to suggest. Hunting for older batches turned into a huge trend couple of years ago, especially for La Nuit de L’Homme. Ones who knew what they had were selling old batches for anywhere between 0-700, and many fragrance collectors today have the old batch in their collection.
The 2010 is the same exact scent, just with extra detail to it and slightly better performance (Once again, not a huge difference). The 2010 is more on the peppery side and less sweet and the 2014 is more sweet and slightly less peppery. I bought a YSL La Nuit de L'homme from an online store and I got a 2013 batch. From what I've seen, stores can't sell fragrances with more than 3 years of shelf-life. Should I return it or are 2013 batches good and I should keep it?I’ve tried the 2014-2016 and the later ones.
