It's a Breitling Antares ref.81970, and I have the original papers and the watch box that came with it. However, I'm a bit uncertain about its authenticity and would greatly appreciate some guidance on how to confirm its legitimacy. The Antares and Antares World were part of the Windrider range sold by Breitling in the early/mid 1990s. The Antares is a simple 3 hand design (h/m/s) whereas the World has an additional GMT hand.
The Antares is indeed a very nice Breitling and it really is not an "entry" level piece. It was the predecessor to the "Wings" automatic from the "Nightflight" model series. It is a caliber B10 (ETA-2892) movement, non-chronograph, very robust and accurate. I think I found a good deal online for this Antares, I have no ebay link and I prefer not to post any links. Can someone can identify this watch as a fake or real? I was never a huge Breitling fan, but this watch has made me one. It is very classy and I like that it is 39mm. I usually prefer a 36 but this one fits just right. I received this Breitling Antares early model, advices required. Sweet piece. I wouldn't go for a polish personally, if it's never been serviced then that's probably a good idea.
