I love the design of the boy bag, and I think the size of the old medium is great. But practically, I think it's a lot of weight/chain for not that much space, and the full flap is a bit cumbersome.
The only complaint I remember hearing about the boy bag is the opening on either side of the flap allows smaller items like lipsticks or coins to fall out. I would suggest keeping smaller items like lipsticks or coins in a smaller pouch or small zip wallet.
